You guys know the drill by now. If I do a monthly favourites post, I keep it to five items, because... well, because I'm lazy, basically. But this month I just had to include seven. Yes, that's right, seven whole favourites! I've got two perfumes, three lip products and two accessories. So shall we just jump right in?
1. Zara Scarf
I can't believe I'm including a scarf as a favourite this far into the year, but I kid you not, it is snowing as I write this. I knew the weather was going to be poor for my trip to North Yorkshire recently, and I felt really sick of all my winter clothes, so I ordered a couple of things from Zara just to perk up my outfits a bit. This scarf was one of them, and I absolutely love it. It's a creamy white on one side and delicate beige on the other, and the combination looks really lovely when it's wrapped around your neck. It's also incredibly soft against your skin and kept me so cosy when out and about in this unseasonable weather. I know I'm going to love wearing this next autumn/winter too.
2. Zara Boots
Hands down my number one favourite this month. I ordered these along with the scarf and thoroughly enjoyed wearing them on my trip and pretty much everywhere else really. You know when you really love a new pair of shoes and keep looking down at them as you walk along? I may or may not have been doing that! They pull on and off - so they're effortless - and the low heel means they're super comfortable, which was great on my trip as we did quite a bit of walking. I totally love the design of these and the whole cowgirl vibe. They look fab with jeans, but I also think they'd work beautifully with denim shorts or floaty dresses during festival season - not that I'm a festival kind of girl, but if you are then I think they'd be a great choice!
Powerful, earthy and distinctive, I have been loving wearing this unusual fragrance this month. If you want to know more about it, you can check out my review here if you haven't already. Suffice it to say that if you like your perfumes to pack a serious punch, you will love this.
What a shame I only have a tiny little sample of this instead of the very Instagram-worthy full size bottle! Even so, I couldn't not include it in my favourites this month, because I'm completely in love with it. It's about as different from Vetiver Insolent as you could imagine, so delicate, yet I love it just as much. It smells fresh and floral, with just a hint of the sea about it. Basically, it's what you'd imagine a princess would smell like on her yacht on the deep blue, sun-kissed waters of the Mediterranean. If you want to smell like a princess on a yacht then you need this!
I'll be honest - this was one of the products in my goodie bag from the Debenhams Press Day that I wasn't so excited about. I've never really been that bothered about tinted lip balms before. If I want to moisturise my lips, I'll wear a lip balm, and if I want colour on them, I'll wear a lipstick. I think it's mostly because they're sheer, and sheer lip products don't do much for me as my lips are naturally quite pigmented. But this one is so lovely. I have the shade Hibiscus, which is deep enough to show up on my lips, yet maintains all the effortlessness of a sheer product. It's also beautifully moisturising and feels gorgeous to wear. I came back from North Yorkshire with a horrible head cold, so this past week I've wanted my makeup to be as hassle free as possible. This has really fit the bill and helped to make me look human too. Winner!
6. Mac Lip Pencil in Spice
Number 6 and number 7 go together, and the combination is something I 100% shamelessly stole from Tamara from The Glam and Glitter. If you don't already know of her and you like your fashion and beauty fit for a princess, then you need to go check out her blog and YouTube channel. She basically is that princess on the yacht! Tamara mentioned a lip gloss in her March Favourites Video that looked so incredible on her lips that I knew straight away I was going to have to go out and get it. She also talked about often wearing it with Mac Spice, and since I've never actually owned a Mac lip pencil (gasp!) I decided to get both products. It turned out to be a great move because Mac Spice is just gorgeous. I can totally see why so many people adore Mac lip pencils. The shade, colour pay-off and application are all superb. And while Spice looks great on its own, it looks even better paired with...
Oh my goodness, this lip gloss. It's so beautiful, and gives the most delicious plumping effect and shine to the lips. When paired with Mac Spice it's absolutely stunning. I wore the combination out for dinner and drinks recently and it also wore beautifully over time, fading slowly and evenly. I definitely need more of these glosses. Thanks Tamara!

And that, my friends, concludes my April favourites! Anything take your fancy here? What have you been loving this month?
