If romance were a dress, it would be this one. Silky to the touch, bearing a floral print as delicate as a watercolour painting and light as a cloud to wear, this was one of my favourite "out to dinner" dresses while I was in Mallorca last month.
I mean, just look at it.
I bought it from Warehouse earlier in the summer and I think it was around £50. It may still be available in stores and may well be in the sale but of course it isn't on the website. (General rule of thumb - if I want to blog about it, it isn't on the website.)
It's a midi length at the front - if it looks a bit longer on me it's because I'm only 5'3! - and dips ever so slightly at the back. You can't see in the photos but there is actually a silky pink slip underneath to about knee length, so the part of the dress that's longer than this is slightly sheer. Perhaps because of the length, I like to wear it with quite a high heel, so I chose my nude Zara sandals. I am still completely in love with these shoes, by the way - possibly the most comfortable heels I have ever owned. (Why oh why didn't I snap them up in black when I had the chance? This shall forever be one of my life's most bitter regrets. Well, OK, maybe that's a bit strong.)
It's impossible not to feel like a fairy princess in this dress. Skirt-swishing is absolutely essential.
Do you have a fairy princess dress in your wardrobe, or are they not your cup of tea? If you like them, what's your favourite way to style them?

DeleteYou look so gorgeous Kate! Most definitely like a dreamy, fairytale princess! I love the delicate, pretty print on the dress, so intricate and eye-catching. I also adore how you've cinched in the dress and added such gorgeous killer heels to proceedings! The backdrop of beautiful flowers just finish off the look. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! xo

DeleteIt's absolutely gorgeous! I'd probably feel like a fairy princess too (which is hard because I'm ridiculously tall, haha). Can't say I have a "fairy" princess dress but I have a dress that I call my poccahontas dress because that's what it reminds people of, I'm probably making it sound more like a costume then a gorgeous piece of evening wear but it's actually my favourite dress. While poccahontas may not be a fairy she is still kind of a Disney princess, haha. Lovely post :)

Thanks Deb! I say if it makes you feel like a princess, then it's a princess dress! And Pocahontas definitely counts! X
DeleteI love how you paired up the dress with the shoes. So cute !!

DeleteI loooveee the look of this dress! It is almost ethereal like. It reminds me of the soft floral prints in some Ted Baker items (which I absolutely adore!). I love fairytale inspired pieces since they are just so flowy and pretty and just nice to look at. Keeping it simple is the way I'd go with it especially if the pieces has prints on it. But if it is a solid color, then definitely some statement jewelry would be added to it. Love this!

Thank you! I'm a fan of Ted Baker too. Love your idea of adding statement jewels with a block colour dress. x
DeleteSo pretty, I absolutely love Warehouse and their dresses - my favourite from there is a navy bandage dress that's so simple but it always looks great with a statement lip and an updo. This is such a gorgeous, floaty number and I love the print - hope you had an amazing holiday!

DeleteI don't have a fairy princess dress in my wardrobe. I always do love seeing a girl wearing long dress. But, I'm the way too short to wear a long dress. You look stunning anyway.
